Clearwater Bay Ontario

Clearwater Bay, a small hamlet located approx. 15 miles west of Kenora, (190 miles East of Winnipeg Mb.) on the Trans Canada Highway, is one of the launching points for many of the Lakes travellers, and cottage owners.

A boat ramp is available, as is a Marina (The Rockeries.) which also has a well stocked grocery store, fishing permits, lake maps and other necessities required which you may have forgotten.

Not too far from this location is Clearwater Bay Variety, a small mini-mall which is located right on Highway 17, west of Kenora. this is also one of the service stations along the highway, which also contains the local Liquor Outlet in this area, a small but very nice restaurant which serves excellent meals (we have dined their) and natually a full service gas station. This has the cheapest gas prices in this area.

Also located in Clearwater Bay are two trailer parks. Pye's Landing, and Pye's Trailer Park. The Landing is on the water, with seasonal trailer parking, and hook-up, while the other park is on the other side of the highway off the waterfront. Both numbers can be found in our Business Listings. See Map.

Fishing on purpose for this fish is not permitted.

Two Resorts are in this area. Clinton's Ash Rapids Lodge which is located directly at the entrance to Shoal Lake Narrows offers both American Plan and Housekeeping Accommodations. It also has one the finest dining establishments on Lake of the Woods. It offers experienced guide service for those wishing an adventure on these waters to remember, and these guides believe me are well qualified.

North West Outfitters is an other resort that is located IN Shoal Lake Narrows, approx. 2 miles from Ash Rapids. It offers both American Plan and Housekeeping plan packages, and guides here are available too. Don Sauve who has been operating this establishment has many years experience in this area, and is noted for his muskie fishing prowness. Smallmouth, northern pike are other popular species.
